What is a WIKI?

In In its most fundamental form, a wiki is a website where a group of users work together, without needing any technical skills, to create and maintain site content. Some wikis are strictly limited to a select group of registered users, some are fully open to anyone on the Internet, and many offer both restricted and full-access services.

Wikis Wikis are part of an evolving set of Internet-based applications that are broadly categorized as social software. Related technologies include BLOGs, Forums, Really Simple Syndication (RSS), and more well known tools like email and instant messaging. To To provide an opportunity for our patrons and staff to gain experience with wikis and other social software tools. You can also think of this web site as another form of meeting space provided by the Library; a "virtual" meeting room. We encourage your participation and welcome any comments or suggestions.
