Paul,

You must be a psychic, because a few gamers asked me if we were getting NCAA Basketball just before I checked my email.  It wasn't high in demand earlier because of the success of NBA Live, but now patrons seem to be gaining more interest in the college basketball and football videogames.  I think it might be a good idea to purchase a few of the basketball games, Electronic Arts does offer a title named NCAA March Madness, but it might be a good idea to wait until the 2007 version is available later this year.

Marilynn says she wants the gaming tournament to start some time around the end of September, and to end in the first week of December.  Believe it or not, 4 copies should be plenty because of the way the tournament may have to run in order to meet Marilynn's request.

PC gaming is going relativey slow except the occasional request by someone to play Star Wars Battlefront.

I'm glad to hear of the attempt to get some PS3's in.  I just hope the order goes through because I've heard rumors that Sony may not produce enough consoles on purpose.

Truman,

How about an NCAA Basketball title?  Does Electronic Arts offer one?

When are you thinking of doing the gaming tournament?  Will 4 copies of Madden ’07 be enough?

How are things going with PC Gaming?  Slow, Average, Increasing usage, etc.?

We’ve budgeted for 6 PlayStation 3’s; 4 for installation in the library area and 1 each for the Conference Room and Auditorium.  Keep me posted on expected availability.

Thanks.

Paul

Paul,

Here is the list of games that I feel we could use soon.

Thanks for the update.  I agree with you on getting the next release of Madden, as well as new versions of other popular titles.  Please make up a wish list (include number of copies needed) of anything you can think of that we might want to buy soon.  If you get a chance, check to see if they are available from DELL.

When I get your list, I’ll get with Dwight to arrange for purchase.  Let us know if there is anything we can do to help you with tournament planning.

Hi Paul,

This is Truman letting you know that as I was preparing to print flyers advertising the gaming tournament, I realized that a newer version of Madden NFL Football will be available later on this month.  I think that this updated version, Madden NFL 07, might be more attractive to gamers looking to enter the tournament than the current version that we have, Madden NFL 06.  The newer version might also draw in a larger crowd of gamers in general.  Madden NFL 07 is set to be released on Tuesday, August 22.  The gamers have also been asking about NCAA Football 07.  This game is already available for retail.  While it may not be too much of an issue now, a new version of NBA Live is set to be released sometime around the end of September.  Please let me know if it will be possible to get Madden NFL 07 and NCAA Football 07 in so that I can print the flyers with the new game advertised.
