Microsoft U.S. Public Libraries Software Donation Program

Microsoft is excited to provide a customized software donation program to all eligible U.S. public libraries that provide public access terminals for their patrons. This program will enable public libraries that meet the general giving guidelines to have access to the most current applications available for public access computing.

All registered U.S. public libraries that meet the general giving guidelines are eligible for participation in the program. To qualify, public libraries must be either listed as a public library in the National Center of Education Statistics (NCES) database or have an EIN number that confirms their 501(c)(3) status. (Please note: 501(c)(3) public libraries should use their EIN number when registering so that they will be eligible for other donation programs).

Hello All -

As discussed on the conference call today, here is the direct link to
the TechSoup Stock web site describing the US Public Libraries Software
Donation Program:

http://www.techsoup.org/stock/libraries/microsoft/default.asp

I would highly recommend that you peruse the FAQ for the program when
you get a chance as it does a good job of explaining the requirements,
restrictions, and process for obtaining software:

http://www.techsoup.org/stock/libraries/microsoft/faq.asp

The catalog of available software titles is here:

egory_name=Microsoft+MLDP

Also, it is exciting to introduce everyone to Stephanie Bourne at
TechSoup Stock. She has been very patient with me enduring a
long-winded explanation of the PACHUG program and equally patient
answering my many questions. She has bravely volunteered to be the
contact for the program in regards to state library staff. Stephanie
looks forward to answering your questions. Her contact information is
